Brooklyn Bridge Park

I’ve only been to Brooklyn once before on a short bus tour. So this was the first time I actually walked around Brooklyn.

The first thing we did was visit the Brooklyn Bridge.

After a bit of a walk along the bridge, we headed into Brooklyn. We did a bit of shopping, a bit of eating, and a lot of walking through the park.

To get to the far Pier of the park, we walked along the path above so we could get a better view (and to walk in the shade)

If you do walk along this upper pathway, it is not connected to the park. We learned the hard way that you have to walk up a few streets and then back down in order to meet up with the park. It is nice to see some of the houses though!

We entered the park through Pier 6.

There are so many water parks and playgrounds for children in Pier 6, it would make for a great family outing!

We walked along the rest of the piers toward Brooklyn Bridge.

There is a new carousel in the park with an amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s called Jane’s Carousel. Vivica and I couldn’t help but give it a go!

I always forget how much I love carousel music until I’m on one again!

We took a while longer just admiring the view of the bridge before heading back to Manhattan for dinner.

    • It’s beautiful on the bridge, with great views of the river. But choose your timing well! I went in August during the day and it was very hot, and I also went in November at night and it was very cold!! Yes, Brooklyn was lots of fun! Thanks for commenting
