My exams and culminating projects are finally over, so hopefully I’ll have much more time to write posts and visit all of your lovely blogs!
I thought it would be fitting to start up the blog again with a quick little peek at my desk. This is the one I have when I’m away at school. It is where I do all of my writing for the blog, and I also use it for homework, drawing, and even getting ready in the morning.
Alrighty, so first off we have my laptop in the middle. It is a couple of years old now, and it’s a Samsung. Couldn’t tell ya what model it is though.. I’ve long forgotten. What I can tell you is that Samsung is a really great company, and I’ve hardly had any issues with this laptop! Directly on top of the laptop is my day planner that I got at Target. It has all of my school assignments in it as well as my class schedule and any other events or meetings I have planned. I like to colour code everything in the calendar sections of this book so I can easily pick out what I’m looking for.
Here is in an example from November. Yellow indicates projects that are due that day, blue indicates what classes I have, pink indicates any events or outings I have managed to squeeze in, and green indicates my rehearsal and performance schedules of the show I’m working on at the time. (Usually I have more classes, but this was getting close to exam time).
To the right of my laptop, I have my computer mouse, a mini Lancome perfume that I like to spray when I’m working, my Tardis mug which I use as a pencil holder, followed by a notepad because I constantly make lists and notes to myself. Behind all of that is my desk lamp, which I’m in love with. I wish I could tell you where I got it, but I purchased the shade and base at garage sales on separate occasions.
To the left of my laptop is my make-up bag and mirror. The mirror is from Ikea, and the make-up bag is from the Lancome counter at Hudson’s Bay Company. In the mornings I like to sit at my desk and do my hair and make-up while I eat breakfast. If you guys would like a closer look at my make-up bag let me know in the comments below!
Lastly, the little pile on the lower left corner of my desk has my sketchbook, clipboard folder containing any paperwork I need easy access to, as well as the novel I’m reading, which currently is One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell.
So that’s the end of this quick little “tour”. I hope you guys enjoyed it! Personally I’m really nosy and love looking at how other people stay organized, and I don’t think I’m alone in that. So here is your invitation to pry!
Take care everyone!
